Service Description

Moxibustion (or short for moxa) is also an ancient treatment modality that is frequently used with acupuncture. Moxa is the medical application of burning mugwort floss on an acupuncture needles or over an affected site. Moxa warms the meridians and supply “pure yang” (i.e., energy) to the body. It warms the meridian, moves the Qi, quicken the blood, and hence, stop the pain. It works well with the patient who is weak and constantly feeling cold. Moxa warms the blood vessels and increases the flexibility and patency of a weakened blood vessels. Moxa is a very effective method in treating many degenerative eye diseases, including diabetic retinopathy. Moxa can also help to re-position or turn the fetus prior to labor.
